a map to nowhere

Because when all is said and done
And facts are staring up at me
Telling me to move on, to start over
There is pause in my breath.
A momentary laps in my brain and
My heart hurts
It aches for the way you made me laugh
The way my heart would sing by just the sound of your voice
How you made me so unbelievable happy.
My brain gets confused because it tries to draw me map of how we started and how we ended up. Where everything seemed to go wrong
And no matter how many times the lines are drawn and it is spelled out in front of me I refuse to believe it.
Because I hang on to that tiny memory of your hand on my heart, promising the world to me and me believing you.
